FINSK and Julia Lundsten get the first place on this blog - and for a reason. Julia's shoes combine architectural shape and scandinavian modernity in an unforeseen way. "Exquisite, divine and perfect" described Blahnik himself. Even Lady Gaga has found her own favorites among FINSK's collection. What else need to be said?
- Julia was born in 1975. She graduated from London Royal College of Art 2003. FINSK was launched 2004.
- Design philosophy: Shoes can be thought as architecture or furniture design for feet - a heel doesn't need to be traditional arch.
- FINSK has reached quite a lot in a short time: winner of Manolo Blahnik Award in 2002 / 2003, ELLE Finland Accessories Design of the Year 2010, own collection for Marimekko, fashion shows with Ports 1961 and Dagmar... we can just imagine what is gonna happen next!
